Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Critter Camp handles information when you use the Critter Camp mobile game, this website, and related support services. Critter Camp works without requiring an account.

1. Information stored on your device

Critter Camp stores information locally so the game can function and remember progress, including puzzle progress, completed Challenges, scores, stars, Help balances, settings, selected camper, badges and patches, sponsored unlock state, history, Trail Log information, and purchase-entitlement state. Local display or Trail Log names are not included in Critter Camp analytics events.

2. Limited product analytics

Critter Camp uses TelemetryDeck for a small, closed set of aggregate product events, such as selected Challenge milestones, sponsored progression, optional rewarded Help, and Premium purchase-flow events. Critter Camp does not use TelemetryDeck’s standard Swift SDK; it uses a custom minimal ingestion client.

The application analytics payload does not include your name, email address, Trail Log name, puzzle-board contents, individual moves, Game Center identity, StoreKit transaction identifiers, IDFA, or IDFV. Critter Camp does not create a persistent analytics user identifier. A random session identifier is generated for an app launch and is not persisted for cross-launch identification. TelemetryDeck states that IP addresses are not stored on its analytics servers, including its database and log files.

3. Optional rewarded advertising

Free players may voluntarily watch a rewarded advertisement for specific in-game benefits, including additional Help, sponsored access to additional Challenge blocks, or authorization to replay a completed Challenge. Critter Camp does not use banner ads, forced interstitial ads, rewarded interstitial ads, native ads, or app-open ads in the current release plan.

Rewarded advertising is provided by Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Google states that the SDK may process information including IP address (which may be used to estimate general location), crash logs, performance information, device identifiers, advertising data, and interactions such as ad or video views. The data actually processed can depend on region, device settings, consent choices, and Google’s ad-serving configuration.

Where applicable, Critter Camp uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present privacy choices and manage consent before requesting advertising. The current Critter Camp design does not request Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission. Privacy choices may affect whether an ad is available.

4. Purchases

Critter Camp Premium is offered through Apple’s App Store as an in-app purchase. Apple processes the transaction. Critter Camp receives StoreKit information needed to determine whether Premium features should be unlocked, but does not receive your full payment-card information or Apple account payment credentials.

5. Game Center

Critter Camp may use Apple Game Center for supported leaderboard or achievement features if those features are enabled for release. Game Center is operated by Apple. Critter Camp does not use a Game Center identifier as its analytics identity.

6. Support communications

If you contact support, we may receive information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, screenshots, device details, app version, or purchase information included to resolve an issue. We use it to respond, maintain and secure the service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

7. Children and family use

Critter Camp uses family-friendly artwork and gameplay and does not require an account. The app is not designed to encourage children to submit personal information. Advertising, consent, age-treatment, and content-rating settings are configured with the intended audience and applicable regional requirements in mind.

8. Sharing

Critter Camp does not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by service providers needed for selected features, including Apple for App Store purchases and optional Game Center, TelemetryDeck for limited analytics, Google for optional rewarded advertising and consent management, and Cloudflare for website delivery and security. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect rights, safety, integrity, or security.

9. Retention and deletion

Gameplay information stored locally remains on your device until removed through app functionality, device or operating-system behavior, app deletion, or applicable Apple backup/synchronization behavior. Third-party providers apply their own retention practices. Support communications may be retained as reasonably necessary to resolve requests, maintain records, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations.

Because Critter Camp does not require an account and does not maintain a persistent Critter Camp analytics identity, we may not be able to identify anonymous analytics records as belonging to a particular person.

10. Your choices

You do not have to watch rewarded advertisements. Where required, Google’s privacy message provides consent or privacy controls. Premium users do not see Critter Camp rewarded-ad surfaces. Apple privacy, advertising, Game Center, purchase, and device settings can also be managed through Apple and your device. Applicable requests concerning information you provided directly to support can be submitted through the Support page.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the service. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

12. International processing

Service providers may process information in countries other than where you live, subject to their applicable terms, privacy notices, and legal obligations.

13. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as Critter Camp, its providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated when a revised policy is posted.

Pre-release notice: This policy reflects the intended v1 architecture and will be reconciled against the final signed build, App Store privacy disclosures, AdMob/UMP configuration, and legal publisher identity before submission.
